Eleven years. That’s how long it has been since we last saw a new Chevy Trailblazer. Fortunately, this SUV is coming back, and thanks to some improvements, this new Chevy aims to be even better than the last generation.
Performance Details
You will have two engine choices in the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. The base model features a 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit that generates 137 horsepower. The other option is a 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 155 horsepower, but both are mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Front-wheel drive is the only option for the base engine, but all-wheel drive is available for higher trims. With AWD, the CVT gets swapped out for a nine-speed automatic transmission. Great for city driving, the Chevy Trailblazer is a nimble SUV that offers excellent handling on the road.
Fuel Economy and Special Features
Another thing to love about the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is its gas mileage. You won’t have to worry about stopping to fill up because you will get 29 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
If you’re looking for a new Chevy with some of the latest tech features, you’ve found it. The Chevy Trailblazer comes with an infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen and Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ integration. Upgrades include an eight-inch touchscreen and a premium seven-speaker Bose® sound system.
Loads of standard safety features can be found in the Chevy Trailblazer as well. These include:
- Lane keep assist
- Automatic emergency braking
- Pedestrian detection
- A rearview camera
- Lane departure warning
- Automatic high-beam headlights
