Charging Chevy EV at Home

Lots of discerning drivers are making the switch to

Chevrolet EVs

for more efficient and environmentally conscious driving. If youve decided to go electric, knowing how to care for your EV is important to keep it up and running. Thats why Lester Glenn Chevrolet offers this guide to charging your Chevrolet EV.

Public Charging

As long as you can reach one of the more than 110,000 charging points throughout the US and Canada, you can charge your battery no matter how far from home you are. The myChevrolet Mobile App can help you locate the nearest compatible charging station. Then its just a matter of pulling up and plugging in your EV. Its even easier than pumping gas!

Home Charging

You can also charge your Chevrolet EV in the convenience of your home and leave it charging overnight so its ready for you in the morning. All you need is a professionally installed Level 2 charger and a 240-volt outlet to charge your EV the same way you charge your cellphone. To make this as easy as possible, Chevrolet covers standard installation for Level 2 charging outlets with all qualifying EV purchases and leases throughout 2023.

Charger Compatibility

Chevrolet EVs are compatible with Level 2 and DC Fast chargers, both available at most public charging stations. Level 2 public chargers can provide about 39 miles of driving after an hour of charging. DC Fast chargers offer about 100 miles of range in just 30 minutes.
