Everything You Should Know About Chevrolet Warranty Coverage

If so, you’ll be happy to know your new ride comes with Chevrolet warranty coverage for a set number of years or accumulated miles, whichever mark your vehicle reaches first. An excellent factory-backed warranty is one of the many things that distinguish the new models and Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet cars at Lester Glenn Chevrolet.

New Car Warranties

When you purchase or lease a new Chevrolet vehicle from our Toms River, NJ, Chevy dealership, your automobile will be covered by a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. This warranty pays for repairs necessary to correct defects in materials or manufacture on nearly every original component that makes up your automobile. However, it doesn’t cover problems that result from an accident, alteration, or the misuse of your car.

A powertrain limited warranty will also cover your vehicle. The Chevrolet team’s typical powertrain warranty remains in force for five years or 60,000 miles, but the new Chevrolet models in our showroom are eligible for different coverage lengths. Regardless of how long it lasts, your powertrain limited warranty covers major components, such as your engine, transmission, transfer case, and drivetrain.

Coverage for Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned Cars

Buying a previously owned vehicle provides meaningful benefits, such as purchasing “more car” and lowering insurance premiums and registration fees. While Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet vehicles share those benefits, they offer even more, including warranty coverage.

Every Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned vehicle on our lot is covered by a six-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty that starts on the car’s original new-car purchase date. Our Chevy Certified Pre-Owned models are also covered by a one-year/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. The latter warranty begins when the original three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty expires, or if the original warranty has already expired, the coverage kicks in on the day your purchase your Chevy CPO car.

Parts Warranty

Whether you buy a new or Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you’ll eventually need to replace some parts on your car if you hold onto it long enough. If you purchase Chevy parts from our Chevrolet dealership and have them installed at our location, the components will be covered by a 12- or 24-month, unlimited mileage warranty.
