The Chevrolet Equinox can accommodate up to five adult passengers and transport as much as 63.5 cubic feet of cargo. Its motivation comes from a mighty engine, specifically a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

Engine output depends on whether the Chevrolet Equinox has front- or all-wheel drive. With either drivetrain, the engine produces 175 horsepower. Engines in front-wheel-drive SUVs also generate 184 lb-ft of torque, which increases to 203 lb-ft of torque in vehicles with all-wheel drive. The Chevy Equinox can tow up to 1,500 lbs with the appropriate equipment.

Every Chevrolet Equinox has a transmission that handles gear shifts accurately. After the SUV’s redesign, the gear selector is now a stalk on the right side of the steering column. As a result, the all-new Chevy Equinox has more center console space than its predecessor.
